O areia lê lê o areia lai la

O areia o Areia

Sai do meu caminho

Na areia

Deixa me passar

Na areia

Eu sou pequenininho

Na areia

Filho de Oxalá*

Na areia

O areia lê lê o areia lai la

O areia o Areia

Berimbau tocou

Na areia

Eu vou vadiar

Na areia

Capoeira angola

Na areia

O areia lê lê o areia lai la

O areia o Areia

Sai do meu caminho

Na areia

Eu quero passar

Na areia

Sou pequenininho

Na areia

Filho de Oxalá

Na areia

The sand le le the sand lai la

The sand the Sand

Out of my way

On the sand

Let me pass

On the sand

I'm teeny tiny

On sand

Son of Oxalá

On the sand

The sand le le the sand lai la

The sand the Sand

Berimbau played

On the sand

I'll go and play

On the sand

Capoeira angola

On the sand

The sand le le the sand lai la

The sand the Sand

Out of my way

On the sand

I want to pass

On the sand

I am teeny tiny

On sand

Son of Oxalá

On the sand

* Obatalá (Oxalá) is the oldest "Orixa funfun" ("white deity"), referring to spiritual purity and pure light, both physically and symbolically as in the "light" of consciousness. In the Bahia State (Brazil), Obatala has been syncretized with Our Lord of Bonfim, Jesus, and is the subject of a large syncretic religious celebration, the Festa do Bonfim, which takes place in January in the city of Salvador and includes the washing of the church steps with a special water, made with flowers.
